There are so many beautiful sections of the Boise River to choose from for portrait locations, but one of my personal favorites has to be a quiet forested section just south of the intersection of Eagle Road and Highway 44. With gorgeous golden light reflecting off the water and fallen leaves carpeting the forest floor, it’s always a winner! Here are a few favorites from Class of 2013 senior Kailey’s session in autumn:

One of the things I love most about my job is getting to see all sorts of new and exciting spots in the Treasure Valley. Working with Class of 2013 senior Rose was a real treat: not only is she a gorgeous girl, but we scheduled her session at her grandparents’ house by a beautiful section of the Boise River I’d never seen before with the autumn foliage in full splendor. If any spot would be called a Boise classic, it’s Table Rock. Towering above the Treasure Valley with the golden foothills in the background, it’s not only a great spot to hike and watch the sunset, but a great choice for senior photos as well. It’s never too early to start thinking ahead for senior photos! Autumn may be the last thing on your mind right now with the beautiful late spring temperatures, but autumn is classic senior portrait season for a reason: the fall colors especially in Boise are spectacular, and it’s right on schedule for yearbook photos and graduation announcements.
