I know I’ve been at this a while when I’ve photographed multiple high school seniors from the same family! 2014 senior Jared was just as much fun to work with as his brother Levi, and his dad has some mad lighting-assistant reflector skills. People who bring props to their portrait sessions are my favorite people. Not only did 2014 senior Noah bring two guitars to his photoshoot by the Boise River in Eagle, but his family’s amazing vintage car. (Is a car too big to count as a prop?) All that variety along with the perfect fall color made for some great shots, and Noah looked like he belonged on an album cover. Check out some favorites from his session below!
I loved working with 2014 senior Leanne so much! Despite sporadic rain showers and 5th of November protests during her session, we had a blast pairing her bright red coat with the last of the autumn foliage and throwing leaves around…and I was thrilled when I saw she brought along a copy of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice as a prop (the same copy I have, in fact). Such a blast working with Class of 2014 senior Rebekah last October – beautiful fall foliage and a beautiful girl! The two-hour session meant we had plenty of time to explore the “grungier” parts of downtown Boise like Freak Alley, and drive over to the Old Idaho Penitentiary and neighboring foothills trails for sunset. I love when people bring props along to photoshoots – it gives us so many options and makes it fun for everyone! Gorgeous class of 2014 senior Schuyler brought along her guitar, a bunch of colorful balloons, and a set of quirky glasses and a hat – we were all set.
