Have you ever seen such gorgeous glowy light?! Fiona was the most amazing model on Friday and I loved the books and violin she brought along as senior session props, and her two different-but-cohesive outfits that worked perfectly with the color palette of the always-beautiful Boise Depot 😊 Plus we couldn't have asked for a better day - sun and mild temperatures and no gusty wind, is this really April? 🤯 (See Fiona, I told you I always mention the weather in captions! 😄) What a perfect session! Here's a sneak peek out of many, many favorites ❤️

Aww this girl 😍 Cora had the prettiest spring day for her senior session with glowy sunshine, a super-flowy river, flooding creating some amazing reflections, dandelions popping up everywhere and me accidentally calling them daffodils every two seconds, and a surprise patch of crazy-colorful tulips! With a dad who used to be a model for Gucci back in the day, of course this gorgeous senior photographed amazingly and I had the hardest time picking just ten favorites to share 😊 Thanks for shooting with me Cora, here's a sneak peek! ❤️

"Is bringing a book to my senior session even allowed?!" 📖 I had to gently poke fun at Hailey a little bit because oh my gosh, not only is it totally allowed and encouraged (any and all props are!!) but one bookworm to another, I was incredibly excited that she brought along her books!! 😍 We had the most beautiful mild sunny spring day imaginable on Saturday, even warm enough for splashing in the Scentsy fountains a little bit (NOT with the books 😜) and gorgeous Hailey was the most incredible model 🤩 Thank you so much for shooting with me Hailey and holding books in the strangest contortions possible, you did great - here's a sneak peek! ❤️💯

Ahh springtime in the hills 💚🌼💚 This gorgeous maternity session was just a little chaotic with a severe thunderstorm watch forcing a reschedule, an unusually mobbed trail system making us look over our shoulders every two seconds so we didn't get run over by bikes, and flooding blocking normal access to the city overlook, but BESIDES all that we honestly had the best time 😁 You'd never know mama-to-be Meagan is about two weeks out from her due date, she was so mobile and up for anything, and she and husband Ty (plus their two floofy pups) were the sweetest. And those teeny-tiny cowgirl boots they brought along as props! 😍 Here's a sneak peek from their beautiful photoshoot on Thursday!

🎥 THEATER HEADSHOTS 🎬 As so many creatives

Sessions in the mountains just hit different ❤️⛰ For outdoorsy Ty (he skis, bikes up Bogus Basin Road, and climbed every rock I pointed at!), of course we needed to head for the hills to a couple of my favorite secret gems high above the valley with granite outcroppings and pine trees galore! We opted to wrap up a solid 20 minutes after sunset to get some moody looks he was after so we were all just a little freezing by the end, but so worth it 😁 Thanks for a great shoot Ty and so sorry for calling you by your older brother @bodepacker 's name at least once, I know that's every younger sibling's favorite thing 😜

Will you look at all this gorgeousness?! 😍🌸 This spring has been a li'l weird, with blossoms starting super-early and then getting fried last weekend with a random snowstorm 🥶, but we still found a few stragglers at Scentsy Commons for beautiful Timea...and had the perfect mild spring day for it ☀️ I had the best time bonding with her over our shared curls and Hungarian heritage...two things you don't find a lot in Idaho ❤️ Here's a sneak peek, and yes we may or may not have centered a lot of our shoot around that one weeping cherry tree...no regrets 😁

Is there anything cuter than a baby in overalls? Teeny Kent wasn't sure how he felt about his first photoshoot and was Very Serious Kiddo much of the time, but we got some little giggles out of him from time to time, especially when he got to be Superman and fly high in the sky under the watchful eyes of Mom and Dad 😊 The beautiful golden forsythia flowers are out at Kathryn Albertson Park, it's greening up, it wasn't snowing (which may sound like a joke but it legit snowed Friday night!), we wrapped up just before it started to rain...what else could you ask for? Here's a preview from this sweet family's weekend session! ❤️

April flowers bring April thunderstorms!! ⛈🌸 That's how the saying goes, right? 🤔 Beautiful Jaime nabbed the last absolutely beautiful 70s and sunshine day this week before a rainy mess descended on Boise and I LOVED all the gorgeous blossoms and greenery we found at the Scentsy campus - I mean those delicate weeping cherries, does it get any better than that? 😍 Glowy sunshine and perfect pink dress and awesome model, what's not to love? Thanks for working with me Jaime and trusting me when I kept telling you to embed yourself in a tree, here's a sneak peek! ❤️

It's flying hats and white dresses season on campus! 🎓🅱️🎊 As they tell it, he started out as the annoying downstairs neighbor below her at Taylor Hall, but eventually they found their way together, and here they are about to graduate in a month and counting 😊 Congrats Hayley & Aidan, you two are the sweetest and I had the best time braving the freezing wind and crazy crowds at the B with you on Saturday - here's a sneak peek! ❤️

📷 It's senior session season again!! 🎓 Things are finally greening up and looking springy here in Boise just in time for the class of '24 to get some last-minute pictures in, and I had the best time yesterday with beautiful Zoe roaming around the Military Reserve avoiding mud, making friends with a very happy wandering pup (swipe to the end for his photobomb appearance!), and chatting about nerdy things like Hogwarts houses and which Star Wars shows were great vs disappointments 😁 Some extremely dramatic skies showed up toward the end which made for some EPIC moody photos...and did us the favor of not actually raining on us until literally a minute after we wrapped! Thank you weather gods, and thank YOU Zoe for such a wonderful shoot - here's a sneak peek! ❤️

I hear it's #NationalFlowerDay around here! Or that it was yesterday. Or that today is #FloralFriday. Either way, flowers are cool okay and hashtagging is hard! So here's a throwback of the lovely Jordyn from last year later in spring, with some of the best collections of flowers ever 😊 2023 was literally a late bloomer with nature waaay behind schedule due to the ridiculously cold temps, but 2024 is on track so far - I'm starting to see those golden forsythia flowers already popping! 😍 So if flowers and every color ever is your vibe, it's coming 😎 A few April/May dates are still available, book soon!!

Those sunny sessions in the city!! ☀️🏢😍 Nature looking spring-y is just around the corner, but for now the sunshine and t-shirt weather downtown is phenomenal too! Aiden was the best model yesterday with his natural grin and head of curls (curly-folks unite! 🧑‍🦱) and we had some great chats about skiing vs snowboarding and his family's time living in London 😊 Here's a sneak peek from his photos at JUMP/BoDo!

🌷🪻 What's that flower and when does it bloom?!🌸🌼 In honor of the first day of spring (‼️), here's my handy-dandy guide to what's blooming when and where to find it 😁 Obviously exact dates are subject to change with the wildly unpredictable Idaho weather (last year it was so cold that blooms were legit about 3 weeks later than they usually are! 😳), but rough guides are still helpful. Excited for all the spring color about to explode!! 🌈 ✨ FORSYTHIA ✨ Those golden yellow bushes! Find them mostly at Kathryn Albertson Park starting late March through early April. ✨ TULIPS & DAFFODILS ✨ Those beautiful bulbs! Find them all over landscaping downtown, but particularly at the Center on the Grove and Hyde Park starting late March through April. ✨ BLOSSOMS ✨ Those delicate flowers on the trees! The pinks are often thundercloud plums and pop open by the 2nd week of April. If it's a white blossom that looks prettier than it smells 🤢, it's probably Bradford pear. Best blossoms are at Kathryn Albertson Park and downtown along 9th St and Grove Plaza, or BSU campus! ✨ ARROWLEAF BALSAMROOT ✨ Those yellow flowers in the foothills that look like small sunflowers! Find them everywhere in the hills (particularly at the Military Reserve on Eagle Ridge), usually starting by late April. ✨ LUPINE ✨ Those purple, white, and sometimes pink stalks in the hills! Find them at select places in the foothills such as the Highland-Cobb loop and Military Reserve starting early May. ✨ LILAC ✨ Those light purple flowers on shrubs! Find them mostly at Kathryn Albertson Park starting early May through the end of the month. ✨ BACHELOR BUTTONS ✨ Those small deep blue flowers with a carnation-like shape! Find them everywhere in the foothills but particularly the Military Reserve. They're actually invasive so we shouldn't like them, but they sure are pretty :) ✨ CAMAS LILIES ✨ Those magical marsh flowers that look like a sea of blue-purple! Find them in marshy fields between Mountain Home and Fairfield around Memorial Day weekend thru early June, particularly at Centennial Marsh.
