Now I'm certainly not above photoshopping in a dramatic sky when the real-life skies don't cooperate, but give us an amazing actual sunset and so much the better!! 😍 This one at the Military Reserve Wednesday was just gorgeous with an incredible glow over the still-green grass and dainty li'l bachelor button flowers 😊 We were originally scheduled for Saturday, but with the heat and an allergic reaction to a cat (some kitties are just too floofy not to pet so I don't blame the girls there 😆), we ended up moving the session out...and were rewarded with an absolutely perfect evening. Look at these cuties! 😍 This sweet family was nothing but giggles for their session at the Military Reserve last week, and for a four and six-year-old, the kiddos did AMAZINGLY well - no meltdowns AND they stuck it out the entire hour! 🤯 Plus pup Trigger, despite being a senior doggie, still had all the energy of a much younger dog and kept up with the family fun just fine (12/10, very good boy). The flowers are out, the hills are still green...spring in the foothills is only here for a hot second but we're enjoying every bit of it while it lasts 😊 Here's a sneak peek!

Aww beautiful mama ❤️ I loved this maternity session last week with gorgeous Ruth (who I swear is Brittany Murphy's doppelganger!), and even though it was a pretty toasty day, by evening it didn't feel half-bad at Kathryn Albertson Park, and those daisies are just lovely 🌼 Most of this shoot was actually a family session with Ruth, husband Erik, and little Emery, but since these guys are trying to keep Emery's face off social media (nothing but respect for that choice!), we're just sharing the maternity photos of Ruth as previews...even though I promise the family photos are really cute 😊 Here's a sneak peek!

Aww these sweeties ❤️ It's an honor to get to photograph families year after year and see how the littles have grown, and these guys are no exception! Mr Bo in particular has changed significantly, mostly in that as a tiny kiddo he used to give me the serious stinkeye and refuse to smile most of the time, and now as a slightly less tiny kiddo, he's pretty giggly (especially if you mention farts) 😄 But all four of these guys are lovely and it was wonderful to catch up with them at Merrill Park last week - here's a sneak peek from their Eagle session! 😊

Ali ❤️❤️ I was so excited when this pretty girl wanted to head to the Eagle foothills for her senior session - it's such a gorgeous spot and I've never done a session out there in the springtime when it's green out! Ali is the sweetest with the most genuine smile and endless patience with the gusty spring day trying to wreak havoc, which at best created the most beautiful windswept effect (and at worst a mouthful of hair 😆). She may be my last class of 2025 senior and if so, what a beautiful note to end on 😊 Here's a sneak peek from last night!

Now I'm never above photoshopping in some dramatic skies if our clouds didn't cooperate, but give us a dramatic sky day in real life and 😍🤤😲 Sam's session up in the hills yesterday started off cool and cloudy (a far cry from the 90-degree weekend 😄), but as the evening went on, the sun started doing its thing and peeking out and by the end of our session... 🤯 Can't beat those magical Boise sunsets! Thanks Sam for scrambling around rocks with me and trusting the process - here's a sneak peek!

The sweetest family + one of my absolute favorite spots in the whole state + peak wildflowers/greenery = perfection 😍 Ginny and her family grew up spending summers out in beautiful Prairie, so when she suggested the area for her annual session with little Grayden, I was A) thrilled, and B) knew the perfect overlooks by the South Fork of the Boise River for their shoot. And gosh was it gorgeous even beyond high expectations on Friday ❤️ Here's a sneak peek out of many, many giggly favorites!

Just a little rustic and just a lot gorgeous - these twins were the sweetest to work with last night, with incredibly different personalities but equally gorgeous modeling 😍 Ashtyn and Paityn couldn't have asked for a better day for their senior session (split between the woodsy MK Nature Center and wildflower-covered Military Reserve) and I had the best time with both girls 😊 All we were missing was a couple cowboy hats to complete this beautiful photoshoot 🤠 Here's part I of a sneak peek from yesterday, starting with Miss Ashtyn! ☀️

Raise your hand if you're tired of wildflowers!! ...crickets, hopefully? Because who in their right mind could ever get sick of this gorgeous spring landscape? 🌼 The iconic yellow arrowleaf balsamroot is on its last legs this week, but still looked stunning for beautiful Aria's session at the Military Reserve yesterday 😍 And if she looks familiar to any eagle-eyed followers, that's because we did another senior session together this winter up in the snow...just a solid 50-60 degrees colder and slightly different vibe 😄 But Aria being Aria, she rocked both of course and barely needed any direction from me on posing, she knows her angles so well. What a joy to work with 💯 Here's a sneak peek!

There's a light refreshing breeze and then there's blow-you-over 40mph gusts...and in Boise in the spring, we get the latter more often than we'd like 😆 But we lean into it, wait for gaps in the gusts, and go for that romantic windswept vibe...and Maddy was such a good sport about her beautiful hair constantly attacking her 😄 This gorgeous girl was the best model and had the cutest teeny dog, and I'm so glad we were able to catch the flowers at their peak and that beautiful golden glow, even if it meant battling the other elements 💪 Here's a sneak peek from last night!

Perfect evenings when I get to work with folks who love the foothills and great outdoors as much as I do 😍 One of the most fun parts of my job is showing people beautiful locations around town they've never seen before, but equally fun is when I get to roam the hills with someone like Ollie for whom the trails are his happy place and he's out biking them every chance he gets 🚴 You can see on his face just how much he feels at home out there, and the genuine smile we got especially with his car and bike in some of the shots was the best 😊 Thanks for wandering the Military Reserve with me on such a beautiful spring evening, Ollie, here's a sneak peek!

The prettiest girl with the prettiest light with the prettiest locations ☀️😍🌼 We originally had Abby's session scheduled for Sunday, but with the rain coming in this weekend, we scrambled to reschedule and I was overjoyed we got such a perfect day - 70s, sunny, no wind?! Is this really springtime in Idaho? 😜 I loved shooting at some lesser-used locations (and finding the most magical rose-like tree in a random parking lot 😄) and Abby killed it on every single set...so much that I couldn't resist sharing more previews than usual, because how could I ever narrow it down more?! Ari 😍🌸 I loved everything about this gorgeous girl's session, from her amazing hair to her adorable teeny pup Lily (with an equally teeny Vandals sweater to match her human) to Ari bringing a graduation photo of her kid self ❤️ But best of all, the weather followed through on its promise for sunshine and clear skies (after some anxiety earlier in the day with brief unexpected thunderstorms 😬), giving us the best golden glow imaginable ☀️ Here's a sneak peek from Monday!

April showers bring...hectic reschedules and dramatic skies (that's the saying, right?)! 😳🌧⚡️ I was so grateful that Niko was so chill and flexible about moving his session back a whole 2.5 hours earlier than originally planned, and it turned out to be the perfect call - super-dramatic clouds during his session, and the skies opening up not 5 minutes after we wrapped! I had the best time wandering around scenic Hidden Springs with him - one of my favorite spots for a little bit of a rustic country vibe - and so appreciated his trust in me about the weather 😊 Here's a sneak peek from Friday!
